Highlights: Columbus Recreation & Parks was founded in July of 1910. CRPD has received many awards over the years for customer service in the Sports Community, Best Grounds Crew, Field Preparation, and Quality Programming. Berliner Park has received State Awards from Ohio Recreation and Parks Association as well as having received many awards from various associations in all sports for best fields and Best Park .
             Berliner Park is a very special place in the amateur sports world. Many local, State, Regional, National, and World events. These events have involved Flag & Touch Football, Baseball, Girls Fast Pitch, Rugby, Ultimate Frisbee and of course Softball.  
              The CRPD has been a long time, avid flag & touch football supporter. The first ever USFTL National Championship Tournament was held at Berliner Park in 1988. Over the years, the CRPD has hosted numerous State & National Championship tournaments for the USFTL in the game of Flag & Touch Football. Their fields and service have always been outstanding.
